About

  • The KALI Gallery was founded in 2018 in Lucerne (CH) as a platform for contemporary art and has been led by Nicolai KALInowsky since then. Following a reorientation in 2023, KALI has established itself as a gallery for contemporary art. With a particular focus on the younger generation of artists, the program brings together a wide range of media, including painting, sculpture, drawing, as well as audio and video installations, with site-specific installations playing a central role.

Inspired by the belief that art can stimulate societal debates and expand the individual's scope for action, the KALI Gallery develops a curatorial program based on critical dialogue and mutual inspiration. At the core of the program are artistic practices that act as transformative forces.

The gallery presents works that intellectually challenge and raise societal questions, emphasizing regional differences and individual forms of expression. At the same time, it promotes a cosmopolitan approach and collaboration with international artists.
