Time Machine is an interactive sculpture by Malte Bartsch that playfully explores the relationship between objective and subjective time. Pressing a red button measures the exact duration of the action and records it on a printed receipt — a personal snapshot of a moment and a work of art in its own right. Since 2013, the Time Machine has become part of an international network with 84 machines installed across four countries.
